According to a November, 2007 AP report, contract dispute resolution between Stericycle and SteriCorp, Ltd. resulted in the payment of $14.2 million to SteriCorp for not providing equipment per an earlier contract, while SteriCorp must pay Stericycle $8.2 million for payments due.

Environment and product safety: 

The environmental impacts of Stericycle's processing and incineration of medical wastes has brought them under the watchful eye of Health Care Without Harm and Greenaction. The Utah Department of Environmental Quality discloses the emissions testing results of the North Salt Lake Incinerator at 90 N. 1100 W., North South Lake, with the October 2006 tests show Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emissions at the maximum legal level of 250 ppmdv @ 7% O2, but all other emissions below the regulated maximums.
