Vimta Labs Limited

Vimta Labs is an India contract research organization (CRO) based out of Hyderabad. Founded in 1991, it is one of the oldest CROs in India, and the only CRO traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange, according to Kaushik Sunder Rajan in his New Left Review article, "Experimental Values." Vimta specializes in phase I to IV human clinical trials, including drug testing, and boasts, "...savings in research costs, and faster turnaround times due to quicker subject/patient recruitment and round-the-clock central lab services."

They employ 380 scientists including PhDs & Medical Doctors, and a total of 650 employees at their headquarters. Vimta caters to full time equivalent (FTE) clients, in areas of Bio-analytical, Drug and Pharma, and Food testing. They operate out of five facilities and one proposed facility in India, with future plans to expand to up to twenty five locations.
